Theo – our bionic boy- first dog in Greece to have 3D printed implants in his shoulders!
We rescued Theo and his brothers and sisters from the local garbage dump as puppies. As he got old enough to be adopted we noticed he wasn’t walking properly . Luckily our vet in Lefkas is one of the best veterinary orthopedic surgeons in the country and after MRI scans he replaced Theos shoulder joints with implants over 2 operations.
Now fully recovered 2 years later and walking normally Theo is the leader of the pack.
He is super soft if he knows you but doesn’t like strangers, children or cats! The volunteers all love him and he loves them. He has his own house with a human mattress to keep him comfy which every now and then has to be replaced because he has decided to re-arrange his bedroom and chewed it to bits.
He will stay with us forever because he may need more surgery in the future.
Just recently he also had surgery for a damaged cruciate ligament in his knee after playing too hard and again has fully recovered. One expensive dog after all this!!!
